Welcoming Soulful Living for 2022
How to Experience a Spiritual Christmas Holiday and ContinueYour Spirituality Through 2022
This is not your usual "bring back the true spirit of Christmas" into your 2021 holidays. This is the introduction to 12 monthly blogs in 2022 on how to re-engage with life to be soulfully re-enchanted with ourselves and our world.
Every month the blog will begin with a question(s) for the reader. The purpose of this 12-month journey is to begin soulful living (making the soul your bedrock and identity).
Soulful living is finding the pathway to be re-enchanted with every day. Soulful living is finding the magic and desire to "hang in there every day". There is a place within us that desires for something more than the lives and worlds we have created for ourselves. Soulful living is not a place of accumulating more possessions, honors or money, but a place of inner aliveness and the opportunity to be more vulnerable to experience new possibilities.
Finding the Soul
When you find your life spinning and you become frightened and you don't know how you are going to carry on, you may be a lost soul. Being lost is truly a personal experience and can begin with feeling overwhelmed, out of your element or physically fatigued or experiencing negative thoughts or emotions. When suffering touches your life, you have a choice. You can believe that each day will be worse than the previous day or you can believe you are not alone and the state of feeling lost is the first step to something new and deep and wonderful: the pathway to a soulful life.
How would you define yourself?
How does that differ from people who have defined you?
Look at the tapestry of your life. What events/happenings in your life have defined you? Is there a pattern(s) to these events/happenings? These events/happenings are not mere coincidence. What moments in your life, even the painful ones taught or guided you the most? Did you simply react or are you aware of the meaning? Ask yourself if the people who have defined you or provided a presence in your life provide destructive or instructive patterns.
Review your life as a tapestry of connected moments because those series of occurrences have meaning and purpose for you. Look to your experiences for signs and indications as to where you are going in life. Recognize those pivotal incidents that will lead you to make a decision that something else needs to take place in your life. Be open to receive messages and expressions of love and affirmation to establish new beliefs that life is not fickle but life is something to be woven and you are the weaver.
